i thought you would enjoy seeing a little thing i have been working on and be inspired to make one of your own. it can be big, it can be small, it can be anything you like. an indoor garden is wonderful and rewarding. they can be made in large pots, baskets, boxes, put on shelves, tables or any other creative container you can muster. i know it would be enjoyed by all. a few key items are needed to make one. several small plants, stones and moss. any extras like candles and other decorative items are totally up to you. you can really go all out or keep it beautifully simple. small plants can be purchased at a number of places. mine are from agway, gardner's, acme and terrain. all the little "extras" like stones, moss and decorative pieces i got from micheal's craft, hobby lobby, terrain and etsy. below, you can see i have chosen to put my serenity garden by a large window on antique tiered table.

lets take a tiny tour, shall we.......

the first tier holds a potted irish moss, african violet( not in bloom right now) and some tiny pink flowered plant i don't remember the name of. there is a floating candle in glass jar filled with water and a little bunny pick that's peering out of the violets. i sprinkled moss and stones around and placed a few tiny brass butterflies just so.

there is a small cottage residing in the moss........

going down...... here we have a path leading to the door to who knows where

there is a lovely striped plant, a ducks foot ivy and a fiddle head fern. in the background are my 2 dormant orchids.

aaah! and there is a key to the door! i also have a candle under a small bell jar.with the candles, i only light them when i am literally sitting there and staring at them. please use the same precaution if you choose to use them.

this little fella around the corner...........

a hedgehog relaxing in the moss.......

my air plant... these are truly a wonder! no soil needed, just air and a moistening once a week is all the care it needs. thanks for being easy little guy:)

that concludes the tour. i hope you have enjoyed the serenity garden. remember you can make yours to your taste. the beach, the dessert and forest are just a few ideas for garden themes. you can even decorate them at the holidays and seasons! to much fun! they really lend to an air of calm and peace in you environment. i often sit, light the candles, put on some relaxing music, pray and read. even if only for a few minutes this can be a valuable time in your day. thanks for reading and God Bless.

Jesus speaking

"come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

matthew 11 verse 28-29
