on a recent trip to my local garden center I purchased a few succulent plants for some indoor gardening that I wanted to do. I figured since the outdoors wasn't cooperating with my springtime plans I would take matters into my own hands and make an inside spring of my own. I asked an older gentlemen working in the greenhouse if he could possibly pot them for me. he gently replied he would and proceeded to stop his watering duties, he ever so gently arranged the little plants, layered the dirt and spooned in some rocks for effect. he even cleaned the glass of the mini terrarium. as he did all this he described what he was doing each step of the process in a sweet mister Rodgers cadence..."ok we will just put in a little layer of charcoal....not to much" and so on. I wondered at how sweet and lovingly he did his work. I thanked him and went off with my delightful little handmade indoor garden made with love... by Bob. we need more people like him... and we all need a little spring.
