I have tried many a macaroon but, these are so far, the best. I wasn't looking for macaroons that day. They just thrust themselves upon me and well, I was forced to try at least 3 flavors and then perhaps, made to have seconds of my favorite flavor ehem. The cookie part was the perfect thickness and had a good chew to it. The middle was something between a luscious buttercream and ice cream. They were served perfectly chilled.
Unfortunately, this market is no where near me. How far would I go for a good macaroon... I just don't ?know. For now I can order them online at MacarOn Café in Nyc ....phew things are goin to be ok !
