Follow every rainbow....

Most of you may not know that I have been writing songs for 20 years. The problem is the lyrics are stashed in notebooks, collecting dust and the tunes...well, they are all in my head. I am slowly learning how to read music now, as I have learned to play the piano, but am no where near having the ability to write the music down.

Not to long ago, I a ran a few of these songs by a friend in the music industry just out of sheer curiosity of his opinion. To my surprise he said that they were good, that I should record them and make an album. I kinda brushed it off thinking "yeah ok, but where would I even begin?" but you know, that was just the encouragement I needed.

So....I have begun! The first step I am working on is having each piece musically arranged. I am working with a extremely gifted young gentleman who has the ability to take what I sing and bring to fruition my songs! It is an amazing experience and I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity.

It is going to take time, a year or more for sure. I thought it would be fun to document the process, maybe take some pics, sound bites and give little updates here and there.

I am not even thinking of what all this will amount to. I am focused on enjoying the process and having a very special dream come true!
